Characterize the immune response from COVID-19 patients

Christine Lacabaratz, Hakim Hocini and their teams are in charge of the immunological and transcriptomic assays performed in moderate, severe or critical ill and convalescents COVID-19 patients involved in the French COVID-19 cohort (the national cohort of SARS-CoV-2 infected patients coordinated by the Reacting network of Inserm) and in the COVERAGE study which follows elderly patients treated at home. Their innate and adaptive immune profiles, and their gene expression in whole blood and bronchoalveolar lavages will be analyzed in an integrated approach of “system biology” in order to identify specific signatures of the infection and predictive of clinical prognosis or progression. They are also implicated in the COVIPLASM study evaluating the efficacy of convalescent plasma to treat SARS-CoV-2 infected patients.
