Damien Trawale is an Associate Professor of Sociology. Since completing his doctoral thesis in 2018, his research has focused on attitudes toward health among socially vulnerable populations. In particular, at the National Institute for Demographic Studies, he conducted a study, funded by ANRS-MIE, on attitudes toward PrEP among men from sub-Saharan Africa who have sex with other men (MSM). At the VRI, he now focuses on public attitudes toward vaccination and on the democratization of the participation in vaccine research. In this regard, he holds a Social Sciences and Humanities Chair funded by the Île-de-France Region, aimed at examining participation in clinical research as a means of restoring trust in vaccination.
