The VRI includes 150 researchers working on more than 40 international projects.
Linda Wittkop, MD, PhD is an associate Professor of Epidemiology and Biostatistics at the University of Bordeaux (Bordeaux School of Public Health (ISPED)), and a Hospital Practitioner at the clinical trial unit of the University Hospital Bordeaux. She is leading the Inserm team Multimorbidity and Public Health of patients with HIV or Hepatitis (MORPH3Eus) at the Inserm Research Center Bordeaux Population Health and is head of the infectious disease and vaccine clinical trial unit (CMG-EC) of Inserm-ANRS-VRI (Iso9001:2015 certified for Clinical Research Design and Conduct of Clinical Trials in Infectious Diseases and Vaccine Research). Since March 2019, she is honorary Reader at the Bristol Medical School: Population Health Sciences, University of Bristol, UK. Linda Wittkop is member of the scientific committee of Sidaction, a French non-for-profit organisation and member of the scientific committee for clinical research (CSS13) of the French Agency for research and hepatitis (ANRS) and has been nominated to the CESREES – Health Data Hub. Her teaching activities comprise teaching at the medical faculty of the University of Bordeaux, at the Bordeaux School of Public Health at the faculty of science and modelling/University of Bordeaux and other occasional interventions
