Serological analysis of COVID-19 and modulation of SARS-CoV-2 infection by the immune system

Olivier Schwartz’s team established a flow-cytometry based test allowing the measurement of anti-SARS-CoV-2 antibodies in sera or nasal swabs of infected individuals. This test, termed S-Flow, is sensitive (99%) and specific (<99%) and has been used, to determine the seroprevalence of SARS-CoV-2 in various cohorts of individuals. They are also studying the mechanisms of SARS-CoV-2 entry and fusion, and its inhibition by the innate and humoral immune system.
