Chantal Pichon
Chantal Pichon is a Full Professor at the University of Orléans (France) and holds the Innovation Chair in Biology and Health at the Institut Universitaire de France. She is also a visiting professor at the Berlin Institute of Health at Charité (Germany). She leads ART-ARNm, an Inserm and University of Orléans research laboratory advancing RNA-based technologies for therapeutic applications. Her lab integrates chemistry, molecular and cell biology, and biophysics to drive innovation at the interface of fundamental science and translational medicine. Her research focuses on nucleic-acid therapeutics, especially messenger RNA for vaccines and treatments and on smart delivery systems. Her works open several applications key for vaccine development. She has developed and patented a breakthrough bioproduction approach to establish an economically sustainable process for high-quality therapeutic mRNA, enabling broader global access to these therapies. Pr Pichon is currently involved in several major initiatives focused on biotherapies and next generation biomanufacturing.
