Laurent Hanot General Secretary

After 17 years of experience in international consulting firms specializing in organization, human resources, finance, and business development, Laurent Hanot joined the VRI as Secretary General of the Institute, with the mission of supporting its creation, development, and long-term structuring.
Since the Institute’s establishment in 2012, he has designed and implemented its organizational framework in close collaboration with the VRI’s supervisory authorities and partners. He has set up the management, budget monitoring, and governance systems necessary to support the Institute’s growth and consolidation.
He now supports the Institute through its organizational evolutions to sustain its various stages of development, drawing on the shared expertise of partner departments in human resources, finance, legal affairs, intellectual property, innovation, real estate, and communication.
He assists the management team in designing, translating, and implementing the Institute’s medium- and long-term strategic roadmap, ensuring the mobilization of essential resources for its success. He also contributes to the active pursuit of funding, including the development and coordination of responses to national, European, and international calls for proposals.
He acts as a facilitator, providing support for academic and scientific excellence and strengthening partnerships in a sustainable development perspective.
