Véronique Godot, PhD in Life and Health Sciences (University of Burgundy and Franche-Comté), is a full professor in Immunology at the University Paris-East Créteil since 2012. She has been leading the Master “Vaccinology: from basic immunology to social sciences in health” since 2015 and has been the co-head of the Master “Immunology” since 2012. From 2015 to 2016, she was Visiting Professor at the Department of Microbiology and Immunology of the University of North Carolina (USA).She conducts research on mononuclear phagocytic cells and dendritic cells. She currently focuses on how these immune cells are dysregulated and contribute to immunopathologies including HIV-1 infection, IgE-mediated allergies or septic shock. She has developed various mouse models including transgenic mouse models and humanized mouse models reconstituted with human immune cells. In addition, she is developing novel immune modulatory therapeutics targeting host factors or dendritic cells. In recent years, her research work has contributed to identify the contribution of Glucocorticoid- induced leucine zipper (GILZ) expression by DC in regulatory T cell induction and development of tolerance. She thus has generated genetically modified mice to investigate in vivo this mechanism of tolerance, in murine models of human pathologies
