Sylvain Cardinaud
He obtained his PhD at the Pasteur Institute and contribued to the characterization of T-cell immunity against viral and tumor antigens. As post-doctoral follow at the University of Berkeley (USA) and at the CIMI-Paris immunology center, he investigated immunological factors impacting antigen processing and presentation of viral antigens. He focused his interest into dendritic cells (DC) / HIV interactions and in optimization of DC-based immunotherapy. He joined the VRI in 2014 and the Zurawski’s team at the Baylor Institute for Immunology Research (BIIR, USA), where he acquired a strong scientific expertise on the bio-engineering of DC-targeting vaccine candidates and their biological evaluation at the VRI.
